Call for Posters


Scope & Guidelines

PhD students are invited to submit a poster to DoCEIS. Poster presentations describing work in progress, related to the conference research areas, are welcome. This event will give PhD students the opportunity to present and discuss the main ideas of their thesis plans.

Accepted posters will be included in a deliverable to be distributed to DoCEIS participants. The poster session includes a short presentation by the author, followed by a discussion with attendants supported on the poster with A0 maximum dimension (841 mm x 1189 mm).

Submission Requirements

Prospective authors are invited to submit a short abstract (maximum of 750 words) in EasyChair.

All posters should include the following sections:

  • Problem Area Motivation
  • Research Question
  • Hypothesis
  • Planned Approach

Highlight how your work contributes to the main theme of the conference.

Conference Areas

The areas under the scope of DoCEIS include, but are not limited to:

  • Presentation of research results by PhD students (co-authored by supervisors)
  • Tutorials by invited experts on scientific, methodological, or soft skills topics
  • Presentation and discussion of the base ideas of the thesis plans
  • Discussion of scientific and technical challenges in Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Sharing of experiences among PhD students from different geographical regions
  • Forum on practical aspects (e.g., Publications, job markets, careers)
  • Creation of collaboration (social) networks

Submission & Templates

Poster submissions must be made using the EasyChair submission system. Authors should follow the provided templates in order to meet format requirements.
